Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, authentication provider and profile picture.
• Learning activity: course enrolments, lesson progress, assessment results and certificates.
• Community content: chat messages and files you choose to upload, along with moderation and safety records.
• Jobs and talent information: professional profile details, optional daily rate, CV files, job listings, applications, project status, recruiter verification, CV access requests, reviews and replies.
• Technical and analytics information: page views, session identifiers, browser/device information and approximate location when analytics consent is granted. Necessary security logs may be processed without analytics consent.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, deliver learning services, operate the talent directory and recruiting workflow, verify eligibility for project reviews, moderate content, answer support requests, prevent abuse and improve platform reliability.

CV privacy and professional profiles

CV files are stored privately and are not exposed in the public directory. A CV may be downloaded by its owner, or by a verified recruiter only when the professional has enabled direct access or approved that recruiter's request. Profile details, optional daily rate and published reviews are public when you choose to create a talent profile. Do not include confidential client, vessel or project information.

Service providers

We use trusted processors including Cloudflare for hosting, databases, private file storage and security; Supabase for authentication; and Google for sign-in plus optional analytics and advertising services. Payment processing is disabled and no payment provider receives user information from OSC. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and analytics

Essential storage is used for sign-in, security, language and session functionality. Google analytics and advertising services, together with OSC's page-view analytics, are optional and load only after you select Accept.

Storage, security and retention

We apply access controls, private object storage, request validation and moderation. Information is retained only while needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent fraud. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may edit your profile, hide the optional daily rate, control CV access, reply to a published review, reject optional analytics, and request access, correction or deletion through the account deletion page. Account deletion removes OSC application data and uploaded personal files, then queues the separate Supabase sign-in identity for administrator deletion.

Children

The platform is intended for adults and professional learners. It is not directed to children under 13.

International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. We rely on the safeguards offered by those providers and applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy as the platform develops. Material changes will be shown on this page.
